The Sugarcreek Borough Police Department received a report from Children & Youth alleging that Carter Carrier, 18 of Polk/Franklin, had been corrupting the morals of a minor.
Through a course of investigation officers were able to determine that Carter Carrier did possess explicit images of a known juvenile victim and corrupted the victim by having sexual relations with her after having her sneak out of the house and providing her with controlled substances.
Carter Carrier was also noted to have had extensive conversations with the victim that were detrimental to the victim’s physical and mental health.
Carter Carrier was arraigned before Judge Kirtland on the following charges:
Unlawful Contact with a Minor – Felony 3
Sexual Abuse of Children – Felony 3
Corruption of Minors – Felony 3
Unable to post the $25,000 bail, Carter was placed into the Venango County Jail.
