On Saturday November 21, 2020 at around 9:00 PM Sugarcreek Borough Police were dispatched to 9 Crestview Drive Apt. 203, Rocky Grove, for the report of an unwanted actor attempting to gain access to the residence. The caller stated her ex was beating on the door attempting to get in.
Upon arrival police were able to identify Terrance Lawrence, 39 of Erie, running out of the building. When stopped by police Mr. Lawrence stated “I’m the guy you are looking for”.
Through a continued course of investigation officers were able to establish that Lawrence, over an extended period of time, placed the victim in fear for their safety by attempting to get into the residence by force at the door, was looking through the victim’s window and texting the victim about what was happening in the apartment, texting about what was going on in the apartment stating I can see you now, banging on the glass and texting vulgar and offensive language to the victim.
At the time of arrest Mr. Lawrence was intoxicated as well.
Terrance Lawrence was arraigned before Magistrate Kirtland for the charges of Stalking, Harassment, Loitering and Prowling, and Public Intoxication. Mr Lawrence was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
