Sugarcreek Borough Police was advised of an assault reported by Venango Children and Youth (CYS) on October 16, 2020 at 8:00 AM.
Officers met with CYS at the Sugarcreek Elementary School. Officers observed the marks on the right side of the victim’s face. The marks included swelling around the right eye with redness.
The victim stated his dad, Kody Wilkins, hit him on the way to school this morning. The child stated his dad had been driving and he was in the back seat behind him when his dad reached behind him and struck him in the side of his head for lying.
Kody Wilkins was charged with Simple Assault and was arraigned by Judge Lowrey and released on $1500 unsecured bail.
