Sugarcreek Borough Police officer observed a vehicle with cancelled registration due to insurance cancellation.
Officer stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Bell Ave and Prospect Ave in Rocky Grove.
After officer spoke with Hawthorne he noticed her eyes were very glassy and she seemed to react to their conversation very slow. Officer could smell a faint odor of what was believed to be marijuana.
A standardized field sobriety test was performed on Hawthorne which she did fail. During a search incident to arrest she was found to be in possession of 19.5 grams of methamphetamines along with 19 new unused stamp bags and a digital scale.
