Sugarcreek Borough Police identified Juan Felipe Hugus, 21 of Franklin, walking on Pennell Street, Rocky Grove, in the area of the Country Fair store on September 21, 2020 at 2:20 PM.
Hugus was known to have a felony arrest warrant from Sugarcreek Police Department for possession with intent to deliver from an incident in early August 2020.
Hugus was taken into custody on that warrant and a search incident to arrest showed Hugus to be in possession of a large quantity of Xanax pills, a small amount of methamphetamine, and various drug paraphernalia.
Hugus has been charged with the following.
Possession with Intent to Deliver (Felony)
Possession of Methamphetamine (Misd)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misd)
Hugus was placed into Venango County Jail on $5,000 straight bail for the original warrant and an additional $5,000 straight bail for the new charges.
Preliminary hearing has been set for September 30, 2020.
