Sugarcreek Borough Police is warning residents of a scam involving individuals from Syria looking to purchase land and other investments within the United States and/or other “safe” countries. They are asking for assistance to secure and invest large sums of money. Individuals are claiming that they are terminally ill with not long to live and would like to emigrate themselves and their families into this country. They are requesting a prompt response to their query.
Sugarcreek Borough Police advises residents not to contact these individuals if any correspondence from them is received. Do not give any personal information.
