On August 29, 2023 the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department received a report from Rural King managers that an individual was caught committing retail theft.
The report came in that on Sunday August 27, 2023 an unknown male and female entered the Rural King store. Once in the store the unknown male, along with an unknown female, walked to the boot section of the store. The male then put on a new pair of boots but never took them back off. The boot box was then placed in another part of the store. The male and female then proceeded to the checkout line and purchased a few items, but failed to purchase the boots.
