Possession with Intent to Deliver

On March 9, 2023 at approximately 11:18 AM the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department stopped a vehicle in the 1200 block of Allegheny Blvd for a speeding violation. The driver of the vehicle, Christopher Amos, 27 of Oil City, was arrested for possession with intent to deliver.

Officers observed and smelled burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. Christopher Amos with an excited utterance stated to police that he had an ounce of marijuana in a back pack in the back seat of the vehicle. Amos gave officers consent to recover the marijuana from the back pack. During the recovery officers found approximately three and a half ounces of marijuana in various zip lock baggies, multiple empty clear zip lock baggies, and a set of scales and zip lock baggies containing other small amounts of marijuana.

Also observed in the back pack were two boxes of ammo. Christopher Amos also stated that he had a firearm in the glove compartment of the vehicle. Officers recovered the firearm.

Christopher Amos was arrested and charged with the following:
Possession with Intent to Deliver – Felony
Possession of a Controlled Substance – Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Misdemeanor

Amos was arraigned and released on $15,000 unsecured bail with a preliminary hearing set for March 15, 2023 at 8:30 AM.
