Dog Complaint

On February 15, 2023 at approximately 6:30 pm it was reported to the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department that a known victim and dogs were walking in the area of James Street and McCalmont Street. During the walk a known suspect dog escaped the fenced in yard through the bottom of the fence and without provocation and on public property attacked the known victim’s dog causing severe injury. While the victim was trying to help get the dog to safety the known suspect dog also bit the known victim causing a hand injury.

The Sugarcreek Borough Police Department did file charges on the known suspect of the dog. The following charges that were filed.

The Sugarcreek Borough Police Department would like to remind the citizens of Sugarcreek Borough to have all animals up to date on all vaccinations and to have the required licensing for each animal. The Sugarcreek Borough Police Department would also like to ask that you routinely check for any defects in the fencing that secures your animals to prevent any further attacks or escapes.
