On November 4, 2021 Sugarcreek Borough Police initiated a traffic stop in the 200 block of Rocky Grove Ave with Melanie Bell, 27 of Franklin, for driving while DUI suspended and a vehicle registration that was suspended due to insurance cancellation.
Upon speaking with Melanie Bell multiple outward signs of impairment were noted. Bell refused field sobriety testing when asked. Melanie Bell also refused chemical test of blood.
Subsequently a search warrant was prepared and granted for a chemical test of her blood.
The toxicology results from NMS Labs showed that she had operated a motor vehicle with a high level of methamphetamine, amphetamine and also Norbuprenorphine.
Melanie Bell was charged for the following.
