Possession with Intent to Manufacture – DUI Drugs

On July 29, 2021 Sugarcreek Police initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle that was travelling 66 mph in a posted and maintained 45 mph road on Allegheny Blvd.

Upon approach officers identified Ashton Sloss, 18 of Franklin, as the operator. Officers noted the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and outward signs of impairment were noted from Mr. Sloss.

Sloss subsequently performed poorly on field sobriety testing and was taken into custody for DUI Drugs.

Due to the marijuana and paraphernalia noted in plain view the vehicle was impounded pending a search warrant.

Once the search warrant was granted the items needed to manufacture THC cartridges from raw material were recovered. Also found were raw marijuana, pills, money, digital scales, and other items of paraphernalia were recovered from the vehicle.

Due to the expanse of the evidence recovered the following charges were filed against Ashton Sloss.

Possession with intent to Deliver Controlled Substances (1 count – Felony)
Possession with intent to Manufacture Controlled Substances (1 count – Felony)
Possession of a Controlled Substance by a Person Not Registered (1 count – Misd)
Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance (1 count – Misd)
Possession with Intent to Deliver Drug Paraphernalia (1 count – Misd)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (1 count – Misd)
