D.U.I. Drugs

On March 15, 2021 Sugarcreek Borough Police were monitoring speed in the US 322, Wyattville area. A white Suzuki went through the speed timing course at a speed of 74 mph.

Officers stopped the vehicle and detected the odor of marijuana coming from the car. The driver, Joseph Whitmore, 22 of Cochranton, was found to be operating the vehicle while under the influence and voluntarily handed over a small amount of marijuana, a pipe and grinder.

The vehicle registration came back on a different vehicle and was found to be a dead plate off a vehicle Whitmore previously owned. Whitmore was taken to UPMC Seneca for a legal blood draw.

Results of the test confirmed that Whitmore was operating the vehicle while under the influence of marijuana.

Whitmore was charged via summons with the following:
