Sugarcreek Borough Police filed criminal charges on Jacob Erwin, 22 of Franklin from an incident that occurred February 10, 2021 at 2:18 PM.
Erwin sent messages to a known witness in reference to an ongoing criminal case that himself and five other people have going through the court system. Erwin sent messages with intent to hinder the witness from assisting law enforcement with that case.
Erwin was charged with Intimidation of Witness and arraigned in front of Judge Lowrey. Erwin was placed into Venango Count Jail unable to post $10,000 bail.
His next court hearing is scheduled for February 17, 2021 at 1:30 PM.
