Counterfeit Money

Sugarcreek Borough Police were conducting an investigation of counterfeit money. During this investigation officer was advised that Turaha Simmons, 42 of Oil City, had agreed to sell his counterfeit money that he was making.

Simmons agreed to see $1,000.00 worth of counterfeit money to an undercover officer for $250.00.

Simmons was arrested in the parking lot of Giant Eagle in Franklin.

Simmons was mirandized and consented to officer collecting the rest of his counterfeit money and printer at the residence he was staying at on Butter Ally, Oil City.

Simmons was charged with Counterfeit Money and was also be receiving charges for crystal methamphetamine which was found on his person while being committed to the Venango County Jail.
