Traffic stop leads to arrests (Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine)

On May 14, 2020 Sugarcreek Police conducted a traffic stop at 10:26 pm in the 500 Block of Allegheny Blvd.

The traffic stop resulted in the arrest of three persons for possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine.

Officer observed a vehicle and after running the registration found that the driver was suspended and had warrants for his arrest.

The driver, Jerry Phillips, 48 of Polk, was arrested for warrants.

The front seat passenger, William Raub, 33 of Butler, was arrested for warrants.

The back seat passenger, Kelly Shulters, 42 transient, was arrested on warrants.

During the search of all three suspects methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was found on each person.

During the arrest for warrant officer found a small plastic baggie used to contain methamphetamine in the vehicle. A search warrant was granted. During the search of the vehicle officer found more items of drug paraphernalia indicating the sales of narcotics.

All three were arraigned before Magistrate Lowrey. All were placed into Venango County Jail after failing to post $15,000 bail each.
