Terroristic Threats and Resisting Arrest

Sugarcreek Police went to 191 State Route 427, Franklin on December 12, 2019 at approx 10:10 am to arrest Wade Geer for numerous outstanding warrants.

The occupants of the residence refused to answer the door. Wade Gere was seen inside the residence and was told by officer to come outside. 

Geer came to the front door but refused to come outside. Officer attempted to gain entry at which point Geer did open the door. Geer stepped out onto the porch where he was advised that he was under arrest for outstanding warrants. As he was being placed in handcuffs Geer started to resist officers and was pulling away and threatened to kill Police Chief Wenner. Geer was then pepper sprayed and was still refusing to put his hands behind his back. Geer did compy once the pepper spray began to take effect. 

Geer was decontaminated at the scene and then again at the Sugarcreek Borough Police station.

Geer was placed into Venango County Jail on the outstanding warrants and parole violations. 

Charges for resisting arrest and terroristic threats will be filed.
