On March 1, 2022 at 12:17 PM Sugarcreek Borough Police were contacted by Probation and Parole requesting assistance with a known female at their State Probation and Parole Office located at 50 Gibb Road, Franklin.
Upon arrival officers spoke with Parole Agents who advised that Stephanie Thomas, 33 of Oil City, had entered their facility and had given a false urine to agents.
Upon further investigation it was revealed that Stephanie Thomas had placed a plastic bottle inside of her vagina and reported to probation and parole for a urine drug screen test. Upon entering Stephanie Thomas advised that she could only urinate small amounts and that she was having her period.
After using the bottle, but only depositing a small amount in the cup she wrapped up the plastic bottle as it if were a sued tampon and threw it in the hygiene trash. Parole Agents checked the bathroom once she was done and noted that the paper towels did not contain a tampon, but a plastic bottle with still a small amount of reddish fluid on the outside and inside.
Sugarcreek Borough Police spoke with Thomas and advised her of the charges to be filed against her to include
Possession of Instruments of a Crime – Misd. 1
Furnishing Drug-Free Urine – Misd 3
