The Borough of Sugarcreek Police Department had been receiving various calls from October 27, 2021 to November 9, 2021, concerning a suspicious male in and around the Village of Sugarcreek both around residences.
On Friday November 5, 2021 the police department was contacted concerning the same suspicious male around the elementary school. The school resource department deputy along with officers responded to the area and at one point observed the individual who when confronted by the deputy fled on foot.
Upon officers arriving the area was searched and officers were able to identify the suspicious male whom was found to be wanted on criminal warrants from the Grove City Police Department.
Officers requested assistance from the community to help locate the suspicious male and on November 9, 2021 at approximately 4:53 PM after receiving several calls from concerned community members officers were able to apprehend the suspicious male, Anthony T Beiter, 35.
Beiter was arraigned and placed in Venango County Jail on the following charges.
