Sugarcreek Borough Police were dispatched to the Knights Inn located at 847 Allegheny Blvd, Franklin on August 17, 2020 at 12:00 PM.
Management advised that Gary Hawke and Tierney Phillips had been staying in room 201 for several weeks and they have not paid to stay any longer. Management advised they were told the previous day that they would have to leave by 11:00 AM on the date of the incident, and they are refusing to leave. Management stated that Hawke told them he was not getting out and they they will have the money later that date to pay for more time, stated they were homeless and had nowhere to go.
Officers arrived and spoke with the manager on duty. He advised that they were told to be out by 11:00 AM and they are still there and have been there for 30 days.
Officers went to room 201 and Phillips answered the door and let officers into the room. She stated that Hawke had been trying to get the money for more time because they are homeless and have been staying there for a month. She went onto say they have no where to go.
Officer noticed pills on the bed and asked Phillips what they were, she stated they were Oxycodone that she didn’t have a prescription for. Officer also noticed a marijuana roach in the ashtray at which point she stated that was hers. As Phillips was packing items officer noticed more pills as she was going through items. Phillips had Gabapentin and Naloxone pills. Officer collected the pills and the roach. Phillips stated she had a prescription for the one medication but didn’t have it with her.
