NOW HIRING – FULL-TIME CONFIDENTIAL POLICE CLERK/DISPATCHER

The Sugarcreek Borough Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Confidential Police Clerk/Dispatcher.

This position is an essential part of the department, providing professional administrative support and serving as a critical communications link between the public, police officers, and emergency services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receive and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls for service
  • Operate police radio and computer communication systems
  • Prepare, maintain, and file police reports and records
  • Assist the public in person and by telephone
  • Perform general clerical and administrative duties
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and rotating shifts as required
  • Must have a clean criminal history and successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation
  • Prior dispatching, clerical, or law enforcement support experience is preferred
