Felony Warrant, Obstruction, Drug Paraphernalia

On June 18, 2024 Sugarcreek Borough Police with the assistance of the Franklin Police Department were at a residence in the 400 block of Elk Street, city of Franklin, for a felony warrant having learned the location of a wanted individual.

Upon arrival officers spoke with Haley Bean, 20 of Franklin. Haley Bean denied the presence of Eric Lawson, the subject of the felony arrest warrant that was the result of the Police pursuit earlier in June 2024 in the Borough of Sugarcreek.

Haley Bean made false and misleading statements to law enforcement as to the whereabouts of Lawson even after being advised multiple times that continued false statements could lead to criminal charges. Officers knew Lawson to be at the residence and were able to eventually take him into custody.

When Eric Lawson was taken into custody he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Haley Bean was charged with the following:
Obstructing Administration of Law Enforcement or other Governmental Function – Misdemeanor 2 (1 count)
Hindering Apprehension of Prosecution – Misdemeanor 2 (3 counts)

Eric Lawson was taken into custody for the felony warrant and arraigned before Magistrate Marwood. Eric Lawson was lodged into the Venango County Jail on $50,000 bond.

Eric Lawson is being additionally charged with the following:
Possession of a Controlled Substance – Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Misdemeanor
