Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Obstruction

On June 7, 2023 at approximately 2:30 PM a traffic stop was initiated at the intersection of 2nd Ave and Coefields Corners by Sugarcreek Borough Police. Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle it was determined the driver, Jeremy Sires, had a suspended/revoked drivers license. Jeremy Sires also had a warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody and transported to the Venango County Jail all without incident.

Elizabeth Wilson, of Franklin, the passenger and also the owner of the vehicle did not have a valid driver’s license to operate the vehicle as well. Officers advised Elizabeth Wilson that the vehicle would be towed due to not having a valid licensed driver present.

Elizabeth Wilson made multiple statements that the vehicle would not be towed and that she was not getting out of the vehicle. After several attempts to talk Elizabeth Wilson out of the vehicle she continued to refuse. Elizabeth Wilson was advised that is she did not comply she would be charged, at which time she continued to refuse.

Elizabeth Wilson was charged with the following:
Obstructing Administration of Law or other Governmental Function – Misdemeanor 2
Resisting Arrest or other Law Enforcement – Misdemeanor 2
Disorderly Conduct – Misdemeanor 3
