False Identification – Disorderly Conduct

On January 26, 2023 the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department assisted the Venango County Sheriff’s Department on a Domestic Relations Warrant service. Michael Shoffstall, 28 from Franklin, was taken into custody at approximately 11:54 AM by the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department.

Michael Shoffstall gave false identification to law enforcement authorities by stating his names was Tristan and wasn’t able to provide an identification card. Officers from the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department identified that it was Michael Shoffstall through investigation.

After advising Michael Shoffstall that he would be placed under arrest for the Domestic Relations warrant Michael Shoffstall took off running and led police on a foot pursuit down 2nd Ave. Michael Shoffstall was placed under arrest. A strip of buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual film 8mg/2mg was found on Michael Shoffstall when the arrest was made.

Michael Shoffstall was transported to the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department and later picked up by the Venango County Sheriff’s Department. Michael Shoffstall is currently in the Venango County Jail and will be arraigned in front of Magistrate Kirtland on the following charges.
