On November 15, 2021 at 12:10 PM Sugarcreek Borough Police were dispatched to the Giant Eagle parking lot on Allegheny Blvd for a hit and run.
Upon arrival officers spoke with the victim. The victim advised of the damage to his vehicle and that a witness had come forward to report the hit and run to him.
Through a course of investigation Sugarcreek Borough Police were able to determine who had operated the motor vehicle at the time of the crash.
Sugarcreek Police with the assistance of Franklin Police were able to speak with the driver of the suspect vehicle. During the conversation he stated that he had been driving and that he didn’t think the damage was that bad so he left.
The driver of the suspect vehicle was cited for Accidents Involving an Unattended Motor Vehicle, Driving with a Suspended License, Driving with a Suspended Registration for insurance cancellation, and other summary traffic offenses.
