On August 9, 2020 at 1:15 AM Sugarcreek Borough Police responded to a reportable motor vehicle accident for a vehicle into a pole in the area of 132 Meadville Pike.
Upon arrival officers found a Pontiac that had left the roadway for unknown reason and struck a pole.
The passenger side of the vehicle at the passenger door was compressed to the point that the passenger seat was pushed in with heavy damage.
The driver, Ethan Field, 20 of Indiana, PA, was out of the vehicle sitting behind it with obvious injuries to the head. Field was taken to UPMC Northwest by Community Ambulance.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
Sugarcreek Borough Police were assisted by Franklin Police, Rocky Grove and Reno Volunteer Fire Departments and Community Ambulance.
