On December 10, 2019 Sugarcreek Borough Police went to 9 Crestview Drive, Apartment 308, with Venango Children & Youth Services for a report of possibly manufacturing methamphetamine.
Upon arrival officer spoke with the residents, Kassidy Clark and Sean Roxberry, both of Rocky Grove, and noted in the trash was a plastic bag with white powder residue. Persons in the apartment stated that they though it was cocaine. Another officer was called to the scene to check and ensure that no other occupants were in the apartment.
While officers cleared the remaning apartment rooms drugs and drug paraphernalia were observed in multiple rooms throughout the apartment in plain view. The apartment was secured and a search warrant was prepared and granted.
Officers were able to seize multiple drugs, a large box of paraphernalia, two homemand explosive devices and electronic devices.
The Pennsylvania State Police Bomb Squad was contacted. Upon arrival they secured the two explosive devices that were in the apartment. Once PSP Bomb Squad removed the explosives from the apartment they moved them to a safe location. When they attempted to render the one device safe, it detonated at approximately 10 PM. A considerable crater was the result of the detonation. The smaller device was able to be made safe and subsequently secured by PSP for continued evidence investigation.
The following charges were filed on both Kassidy Clark and Sean Roxberry: Endangering the Welfare of Children (F3), Causing or Risking a Catastrophe (F3), Possession with Intent to Deliver (F), 2 Counts of Prohibited Acts: Possession of a Controlled Substance (M), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M)
Both Clark and Roxberry were arraigned before District Justice Fish. Bail set at $25,000 each. Clark and Roxberry were taken to Venango County Jail after failing to post bail.
Preliminary hearing is set for December 18, 2019 at 1:30 PM.
