On May 30, 2023 Sugarcreek Borough Police initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle for having a license plate that was registered to a Ford vehicle securely fastened to a Jeep that also showed that it was expired.<\/p>\n
Officers made contact with the driver, Jonathan Wright, 40 of Oil City. Through a course of investigation, it was determined that Jonathan Wright was operating a vehicle while DUI suspended.<\/p>\n
Jonathan Wright exited the vehicle so that it would be towed. A purse was noted in the vehicle that was attempted to be removed. Upon looking in the open top a THC vape pen with loaded cartridge was immediately apparent. The purse was determined to be the registered owner Ty Bailey, 38 of Franklin.<\/p>\n
Officers learned that Jonathan Wright had an outstanding warrant. While being taken into custody Jonathan Wright reached into his pants pocket, removed a glass pipe with residue, dropped it on the ground and then broke it.<\/p>\n
Jonathan Wright is charged with the following:
\nTampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence – Misdemeanor 2
\nOperating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License – DUI Related and other summary offenses.<\/p>\n
Ty Bailey is charged with the following:
\nPossession of a Controlled Substance – Misdemeanor
\nPossession of Drug Paraphernalia – Misdemeanor<\/p>\n
