On January 6, 2023 at 2:20 PM Sugarcreek Borough Police responded to the report of a possible domestic in progress on Russell Street, Franklin. The caller reported a male chasing a female out of the house and tackling the female to the ground.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival to the area Sugarcreek Police officers identified Shaun Dawes, 40 of Franklin, could be seen physically restraining a known female victim. Shawn Dawes was seen grabbing the arms of the victim pulling her back towards the house and stepping in front of the female.<\/p>\n
Shaun Dawes was taken into custody without incident and was provided medical attention for the cuts on his face.<\/p>\n
Shaun Dawes was charged with Unlawful Restraint and arraigned before Judge Kirtland.<\/p>\n
Shawn Dawes was unable to post the $10,000 bail and was subsequently lodged in the Venango County Jail. Dawes’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 18, 2023 at 8:30 AM at the Venango County Courthouse.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
