On October 31, 2020 Sugarcreek Borough Police Officer was monitoring speed in the 1200 block of Allegheny Blvd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officer observed a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander traveling 63 mph in a posted 45 mph zone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon approach to the vehicle officer was able to detect odor of Marijuana. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The driver, Joseph Edward Malone, 31, was evaluated for driving under the influence of a controlled substance and placed under arrest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Items found in the vehicle included a tupperware container with a small amount of marijuana as well as a glass smoking pipe with residue. The items were seized and logged in as evidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Malone was charged with the following via summons:
Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance – Misd.
Simple Possession of Marijuana – Misd.
Possession of Paraphernalia – Misd.
