{"id":194,"date":"2020-08-19T11:59:25","date_gmt":"2020-08-19T15:59:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sugarcreekborough.us\/press\/?p=194"},"modified":"2020-08-19T11:59:27","modified_gmt":"2020-08-19T15:59:27","slug":"seneca-resources-letter-not-a-scam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sugarcreekborough.us\/press\/2020\/08\/19\/seneca-resources-letter-not-a-scam\/","title":{"rendered":"Seneca Resources Letter- Not a Scam"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Sugarcreek Borough Officers investigated a possible letter scam involving Seneca Resources plugging wells in the Rocky Grove area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers contacted the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) who clarified that the letters are legitimate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seneca Resources are plugging a well on the hillside behind the 800 to 900 blocks of Allegheny Blvd and per DEP regulations, Seneca Resources sent out a letter to area residents alerting them that if there was a well on their property, Seneca Resources needed to be contacted to have it plugged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If Rocky Grove residents have received the letter and receive their water services through the City of Franklin, the letter can be disregarded.
