On June 21, 2024 Sugarcreek Borough Police noted a motorcycle traveling south on Allegheny Blvd that was acting in a suspicious manner. The PA Registration plate was checked and noted that it did not come back to the make and model of the motorcycle that it was mounted to.<\/p>\n
The Sugarcreek Borough Police Department attempted to initiate a traffic stop with the motorcycle. The rider then turned right onto Front Street and accelerated at a fast pace.<\/p>\n
Sugarcreek Police began to pursue the motorcycle with lights and sirens activated. Due to the traffic and the concern for safety of motorists, police terminated the pursuit shortly after.<\/p>\n
Through a course of investigation Sugarcreek Police were able to identify the driver and recover the motorcycle.<\/p>\n
Zachary Joseph Taylor Harvey, 23 of Oil City, was charged with the following:
\nFleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer – Felony 3
\nRecklessly Endangering Another Person – Misdemeanor
\nDriving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked – DUI related – Summary
\nUnauthorized Transfer of Registration – Summary
\nAnd other Summary Traffic Violations<\/p>\n
