Sugarcreek Police was dispatched to a residence on Circle Street, Rocky Grove, on May 12, 2020 at 2:30 pm for the report of a male that had broken in to the residence and was being detained by the homeowner.
Investigation shows that at the time of the break in the residence was occupied by a 13 year old female whom locked herself in a room and called her father who was working near by. When the father arrived at his residence he found an adult male and two children unlawfully in his residence.

Mercer was arraigned before District Magistrate Lowrey where he was remanded to Venango County Jail with bail being denied due to having multiple outstanding warrants and currently being out on bail from a previous burglary charge. Mercer is due in Central Court on May 20, 2020.
