The Sugarcreek Borough Police in conjunction with the PA Attorney General’s Office investigated the sale and distribution of controlled substances throughout Venango County for a period of approximately 6 months. This organization dealt in the sale and distribution of crack cocaine, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, and other controlled substances from the Detroit Michigan area to the Venango County area.
The investigation led to a traffic stop with a vehicle on Allegheny Blvd near Washington Crossing Bridge. The vehicle was detained and a search warrant was later executed on the vehicle.
Additionally, the investigation lead to a house in Oil City that was known to sell controlled substances, namely crack cocaine, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, and other controlled substances.
The investigation resulted in the seizure of approximately 4 ounces of fentanyl, 5 ounces of methamphetamine, 8 ounces of crack cocaine, and other controlled substances and over $18,000 in U.S. currency.

Eddie Montgomery, Allen Griffin, Chardai Hobson were all taken into custody on June 4, 2024 as part of a corrupt organization and charged with the following:
Corrupt Organization – Felony 1 (2 counts)
Criminal Use of a Communication Facility – Felony 3 (2 counts)
Possession with Intent to Deliver – Felony (2 counts)
Possession of a Controlled Substance – Misdemeanor (1 count)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Misdemeanor (1 count)
