The bridge that carries State Street (Veteran’s Memorial Bridge) over the Allegheny River in Oil City, Venango County has reopened to traffic.
Motorists are reminded to continue to use caution when traveling through the area as work on the overall State Street Bridge Preservation Project is ongoing. Some work may require temporary lane restrictions and closures with traffic controlled by flaggers. Drivers should be alert for changing traffic patterns and possible short-term delays.
PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
