Corrupt Organization, Possession with Intent to Deliver – Crystal Meth, Crack Cocaine

Between December 23, 2023 and June 4, 2024 Sugarcreek Borough Police and the Attorney General’s Office completed a joint Task Force Investigation in various areas in Venango County to include 55 Venango Street, Franklin,  and 328 Washington Ave, Oil City.

On June 5, 2024 officers obtained an arrest warrant for Michael Daniels Jr after conducting the joint Task Force investigation with the Attorney General’s office. Agents and officers conducted controlled buys and executed a search warrant on a residence at 328 Washington Ave., Oil City, PA 16301. Agents and officers recovered a large number of controlled substances including crystal meth and crack cocaine.

Based on the totality of the investigation it was determined that Michael Daniels Jr was in charge of a corrupt organization selling large amounts of the aforementioned controlled substances.

Daniels was charged with the following:
Corrupt Organization
Criminal Conspiracy
Criminal Use of a Communication Device
Manufacture, Delivery or Possession with Intent to Distribute or Deliver
Possession of a Controlled Substance
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Attempts were made to arrest Daniels locally prior to him fleeing the state, however they were unsuccessful. As a result, the warrant was turned over to the U.S. Marshal’s who pursued Daniels to Detroit Michigan using several investigative techniques which resulted in the arrest of Daniels in Michigan.

Daniels was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshal’s Office and is awaiting transport back to Venango County to face the above charges.
