On November 9, 2022 at approximately 2:58 PM a traffic stop was initiated by the Sugarcreek Borough Police Department in the 400 block of Rocky Grove Ave for a speeding violation in an active school zone.
Upon making contact with the driver, Andrew Rodgers, 19 of Oil City, a strong odor of marijuana came from inside the vehicle. Sugarcreek Borough officers conducted field sobriety testing on Andrew Rodgers.
After field sobriety testing was complete it was determined Andrew Rodgers would be placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Rodgers was taken to UPMC Northwest for a blood draw to determine the level of intoxication.
Sugarcreek Borough Police Department received the toxicology report for Andrew Rodgers on December 12, 2022, which showed positive results and that Andrew Rodgers was driving under the influence.
