Sugarcreek Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident involving a truck and two electric poles in the 1800 block of Allegheny Blvd. in the area of 3rd Street, Reno, at 8:43 am Tuesday October 1, 2019.
Brent Allen Kuberry Jr, of Pleasantville, was traveling south on Allegheny Blvd. Kuberry Jr. told police he must have fallen asleep while he was driving. Kuberry went off the roadway and struck two electric poles before getting the truck stopped.
A witness stated that he seen the truck weaving and then went off the roadway.
Both north and south bound lanes were shut down due to power lines over the roadway. Penelec and Verizon where called to remove the lines and replace the electric poles.
Traffic was detoured for smaller vehicles around Reno, Semi trucks were held until a northbound lane could be open for traffic at around 10:50 am. All lanes were open by 12:30 pm.
Sugarcreek police were assisted at the scene by Rocky Grove and Reno Volunteer Fire Departments. Lowry’s Auto Body towed the vehicle from the scene.
